What is your setup? Did you like the results? How much of an improvement did it make?

Remember that the port height is raised on the Vortech heads, and if you add the L98 intake you'll have a huge mismatch that will result in poor airflow into the head.

My guess is that L98/TPI Vortech equipped engines are not very well received as far as performance goes. Scoggin Dickey is coming out with an L98 Vortech/Fastburn inake manifold that should solve this problem. You should be able to utilize these head designs with minimal problems.

It's due in early 2001.

I've heard that the Vortec heads are not a wise choice for the TPI as for the reasons mentioned above. AFRs, Edelbrocks and such heads are better for the L98 motors

Next on the list: LT4 HOT Cam

I have a mag with some dyno tests. They were compareing the L98s and vortecs to the 23* Trick flows. The Vortecs made 16 more horsepower than the L98s. Both were stock heads no porting, the dyno mule was a 350.

Grab a pair of Vortec's and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake made for Vortec's and I guarantee you will be happy with the results for the price you pay. It's a really cost effective way to go fast. You could always do a little porting to unlock even more power

Nope, only 350 TPI's are L98s. That's why everyone assumed that he had TPI instead of carbed.

tbi looks like a carb and kind of acts like one without injectors on each cylinder, but it's still a form of fuel injection.
