Quick question: will other model gauge cluster work?

I need a quick answer please. I need to replace the white plactic circuit board that the gauges mount to. All my gauges are good, so those don't matter. So....can I replace the gauge cluster with one from any other year/model and mount my gauges on it? OR, can I replace it with another model and mount my 145mph speedo in the other one? OR, do I need another 145mph cluster out of an '88 Iroc to work properly?

For example, could I use one that has the same gauges except the lower mph speedo and then just install my own speedo? Like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33675
And then put my gauges in?

Or this one http://i9.ebayimg.com/01/i/00/eb/a6/0d_1.JPG
And then put my speedo in it?

Thanks!

From: out of my mind; be back in 5 minutes....
Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
You would need one like the second one you posted, with the guages. You could then just swap your speedo head into the 'new' cluster...there's just two small screws on the back that hold it in place.
