'91 Camaro RS perf. numbers????
'91 Camaro RS perf. numbers????
This has prolly already been answered a number of times. But i tried searching and can't find anything.
I'm considering buying a '91 Camaro RS w/ V8. What kind of numbers can it get in terms of 0-60 times and top speed? I'm assuming the car is stock, as i would be getting it off a dealer's lot.
And how much of an improvment would i get if i did something as minimal as putting in a performance chip? What brand/type do you reccommend?

5 speed or auto? It seems as though the 5 speeds ran mid 16's if my memory is correct and the 0-60 was low 8's. I am not for sure though, I can't find any of my articles on it. I will do some more checking and see what I can't find. Hopefully someone else will know.

generally the 5 speed cars run high 15s
most i have seen will turn 15.8-16.0
autos are low 16s generally, 16.0-2 or so
alot of the 91-92 cars are unusually quick though many are in the 15s out of the box
off the shelf performance chips are a rip off that do nothing
if you want more performance get an open element, headers and catback, and 3.42 or 3.73 gears
thats the greatest bang for the buck
