max fuel pressure for TBI?

Whats the max fuel pressure a TBI can handle, my gas tank is leaking so im puttin a new one in and gonna put a higher flow fuel pump in.

The stock regulator I believe maxes out at 13 psi. I wouldn't worry about the pump issue though because the regulator will do it's job. You would probably get more replies on the tbi board though.

Id be a bit leery of going above 20 psi with the stock system. I dont know what the diaphram in the regulator is rated to. If it blows out, itll spray fuel all over and ignite a fire. Some people have gotten it up to 40 psi or so but considering its just a piece of rubber with some fiber mesh in it i think theyre probably getting to its limits. Id suggest jsut going with a decent aftermarket pump like a walbro or something similar. Be careful of the volume rate. If you go too far over the system wont be able to bypass the excess gas fast enough and youll build up an excess head of pressure at the regulator. Unless there is some need dont change the stock fuel pressure, jsut leave it where it is.
