CAR WON'T START IN THE MORNINGS
CAR WON'T START IN THE MORNINGS
I've seen this topic posted on CamaroZ28.com before and they always answer the same way. Your fuel pump relay has gone bad and you need to replace it. Well I replaced it, but the car still takes forever to start. half the time, I run the battery down so much that it won't start period and I have to jump it off. I know it's possible that I screwed up when replacing the relay, but it looked pretty simple to me. Two bolts and a plug. Is there a fuse or something else that I'm supposed to take care of. Is it something completely different and I replaced the relay for not reason? Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a quick question, are you jumping on the key from "off" to "crank"? Or, do you put the key from "off" to "on/test lights", wait a few seconds for the in-tank-pump to prime, and then go to "crank"?
I know if on my car, if I don't let the pump prime, the motor cranks & cranks & cranks until fuel pressure builds up.

I don't let it sit there for too long, but I don't go straight from off to crank. It probably sits there for a maybe a second or two at the most. I can try it later to see if that's the problem. I just got finished driving, so she would crank right up without a problem now.
