Code 43. Low voltage at electronic spark timing circuit
Code 43. Low voltage at electronic spark timing circuit
That's the only code I appear to be throwing but do not know why I am getting it. Any ideas in where do I look?
Another question is that my car starts but I have to push the gas pedal 1/4-1/2 to keep it from stalling out. And at 1/4-1/2 the rpm is bouncing around 1000rpm. Could this code 43 be the problem of this or do I got a bigger problem? Another thing is that after 10secs the coated headers are really really hot.
Info:
Just completed a head and cam swap on a 305TPI auto.

Mike,
A '43' can also be a TPS out of adjustment, which would account for the need to hold open the throttle to keep idle speed. The TPS adjustment error can also indicate a TPS failure, or TPS circuit failure, like the connector improperly connected.
Stat with the TPS and minimum idle speed adjustment. Once it's running, look into a different PROM for the ECM, since the SD cars don't like cam changes very well without program changes.

Vader,
That sounds like a reasonable answer, thanks. BTW would an out of adjusment TPS cause my idle to be kind of jumpy? When I get past 2500rpm, it revs smoothly but lean (can tell because headers are VERY HOT after 5-10 seconds.
