I need to insulate my spark plug wires. How?

I just finished intalling long tube hedman headers that are wrapped with insulating header wrap. I was wondering if you can buy insulation for your spark wires and boots because my wires are pretty close to the tubes, and one of them melted onto the headers (luckly I dont have the new wires in yet).

I also need insulation for my remote start solenoid wires.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Well, several plug wire manufacturers offer insulating sleeving for spark plug wires; I found a few for you..

Moroso: Blue Max Wire Sleeve

Accel (pg 26): Pro Sleeve's

MSD: Pro-Heat Guard

These will need to be put on the wires before assembly, of course.

Certainly much better than the braided metallic coverings that like to munch their way through the wires' insulation.
