I know a fair ammount about cars, but not nearly enough to assemble an engine properly. How much does it cost to have an engine assembled?

how much of the engin like just the rods pistons and crank shaft or the whole block and valves or what and was your carburater a stock part or did you put it in there???

 

Totally new engine.

Nothing from my 305 will be used.

 

Shop I use charges $200 labor for a complete oilpan-to-intake build. This includes checking all clearances, degreeing cam, adjusting valves. $200 more to dyno/break-in the engine. Of course there is the additional cost of parts and machine work.
