Temporary 305
Temporary 305
Hi all,
I've still got the 350 on the stand, but in the meanwhile I want to add some punch to the stock carb'd 305. I know there is a real limit so besides the 3" pipes (which will work on the 350) what cam/manifold setup will give the biggest bang for the buck? At the rate the 350's going I'll need to run this motor for another 6-8 months.

Hell, stock manifold, 1" open plenum spacer, K&N Stubstack, K&N filter. I wouldn't go spending $ on the 305 when you have a 350 ready to go in, it'll give it a little more grunt, while not emptying your wallet.

I spent $850 on my 305 and it goes 101 MPH.
'Course, I spent money on other stuff like the exhaust system, torque converter, etcetera, but as for the long block, $850 really woke it up.
