Cam help required

OK Guys,
Just removed my 305 TPI and 700R4.Im doing the T56 swap but whilke the engine is out,I thought i may as well refresh all the gaskets etc etc.
Looking back through my records,I see that the cam in it is a Comp Cams 12-314-4.Is it worth changing this cam for one that will give me better performance??
Ive already done the following mods
Dart Sportsman Jr heads 1.94/1.5 valves,58cc chambers,171cc vol,
headman headers with SLP 3"Stainless system,no cat or any emissions,AFPR,SLP cold air induction,Throttle body airfoil and plenum mildly ported and hypertech chip.
Any thoughts of what cam plus what chip d you recommend.Im not sure which hypertech chip ive got as it was in the car when i bought it 14 years ago!!
thanks
PM

Have you done anything with injectors to compliment the head/cam change? I'd almost bet cash that you could do a lot better than the HyperScrap PROM on your own, or with a little help from the people on the PROM board. For the price of another PROM, you can be in the burning business.

Vader,
The injectors are standard but i thought having the AFPR would help a bit

An AFPR can only SLIGHTLY compensate....like to KEEP you from running rich or lean....you really do need bigger injectors and, if the car has one, an MAF to go with them as well. Because the computer controls fuel by controlling the injector pulsewidth, or the amount of time the injector's pintle valve is open. By upping the fuel pressure with an AFPR, you're going around the computer by adding more pressure so that with the same pulsewidth, more fuel is being delivered. That's the problem though, the computer can't control the fuel properly with the AFPR, so you'll never run "perfect". Hence, why you should get a custom PROM chip and a set of larger injectors.
