Motor mounts and engine height

I've done some searching, and its not clear whether the Energy Suspension motor mounts will raise the height of the engine. It seems that some people also feel that new rubber mounts will raise the engine height as well. Does anyone have a definitive answer? I have an Edelbrock STB and I'm worried that the ES poly mount will put the plenum too close to the STB. I also don't want to have too much engine vibration when I'm driving. I'm leaning toward rubber mounts. Does Moog make motor mounts for our engine? If not, what are the best rubber mounts?
thanks,
Chris

You can get TRW motor mounts from Classic Industries...supposedly. Mine have been on backorder for 3 weeks. I'm about ready to cancel the order and get some from Summit. Summit carries the Sealed Power brand, which is also Federal Mogul. Should be a quality part. Summit doesn't have the Sealed Power motor mount in their system, but they can order it.

i was always under the impression that they all (both rubber and poly) will raise the engine the same amount (or pretty damn close). but the poly ones will keep them at that height, while the rubber ones will droop eventually.

how much they raise the engine depends on how old yours are, and the condition that they are in.
