Any hidden costs in a 700R4 swap 2 T-56?????

I've read some tech articles and am seriously thinking of doing the swap but I'm curious of ANY hidden costs of the swap. I put a 383 in my 1991 Z28 and there were quite a few enexpected costs I didnt budget for and can't afford to go through that again. Any help?

You need a new flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, clutch hydraulics, clutch pedal, and crossmember. You will also need a shifter but you may be able to get that with the tranny. Good Luck

It's relatively straightforward.

A few small hidden gotchas involve the speedo; make sure you get a VSS, and the right speedo gears for your rear. Also, only a V8 trans will work, as the 6-cyl one uses a different clutch disk, and though you can change that, the 6-cyl unit's gear ratios are not right for a V8. You may need a chip from a 5-speed since you won't have a torque converter lockup clutch. You'll need an entire pedal assembly: it contains both the clutch and brake pedals and is quite different from the auto, but they interchange easily. Like 82 said, get as much as you can with the trans; go to the boneyard and strip a car if you can.
