Don't know if this is appropriate but...

My lady's car has a 3300 series engine (3.3L). This motor has quite a bit of grunt for being an oldsmobile motor. I'd like to do a few free/cheap mods to it to increas power and fuel econemy. Does anyone have any suggestions on what all I could/should do?

I'm going to remove the cat, and try to locate a K&N filter for it. It's already got a glasspack muffler on it, and the fan runs constantly keeping the car at roughly 160* which helped some.

Again, any suggestions? Or is this too inappropriate to be posting...I figures since the 3300 was such a close cousin to the 3800 that someone may have some idea's.

I had one of those. Great engine. Neve gave me any trouble. One thing that helped it feel even better was having a 4 speed auto in place of the three speed. I dont know if they make too many aftermarket parts that will be specific to the car, like exaust. One of the first things id do is see if you can find a better exaust system for it. The stock stuff never looked too free flowing to me. Even so it was still faster then my L03.

Yeah, it's a hell of a 6'er. I just went and looked....it's a 4104 lb. car!!! I think I'm going to look into getting a 3800 series blower for it...from what I understand, it's the same deminsions as a 3800 with a smaller bore. Think that'd be a good idea?
