Oil Pressure Switch Question

I just got a new motor and the plug that has to be rmoved in order to put the oil pressure switch in is stripped. My question is with the plug stripped, what is the easiest way to get it out and still be able to use that hole for the switch? Is it possible to install a remote oil pressure switch?

i'd drill it and retap it. should be 1/8 NPT. if you don't like the idea of drilling out the old plug there is another plug at around 11 o clock position by the timing cover. you can use it or the plug above the oil filter.

if i use the one by the timing cover, will that portion of my wiring harness be long enough to reach? the one by the oil filter is the one i was trying to use, i think that is where it came out of. is it possible that i could use the one in the side of the block, or is that one in a water jacket?
