MY new engine sits alot higher then the old TPI, from the top of the carb there is probably only 1" of room. Thats from the tip of the primaries....does anyone make a 1=2" high assembly? Becuse there is no way one of those 4" high cleaners will fit, I need the LOWEST air cleaner possible, edelbrock has a metal mesh one, but I was told the filter falls apart. Does KN make a REALLY low clearance assembly to mount on a holley carb?

The air cleaner that allows the most under hood clearance and performs the best is the one origionaly
used on 60-70's big block corvettes.
You can buy it or just the base from
Noah performance

They also often auction this aircleaner assembly on EBAY.

The choke housing and bowl vent tubes need to be shortened or removed
to allow this aircleaner to function properly with a holley carb.

Other corvette/ GM muscle car restoration parts sources
carry this too.

You can use a K&N filter element if you like 14x3"

Fits fine with room to spare even with the performer RPM
manifold and a NOS plate.
