Anybody using this cam in TPI?

Anybody using XR 264HR-12 and ported heads in 305, TPI?

@.050" duration is 212/218
gross lift (with 1.5 rocker) is .488/.495"
lobe separation is 112 degrees, with 4 degrees of advance built in it

Any problems with the idle or computer?
DO you have any before and after times?

That's a good cam, but I believe it's not quite the right thing for a 305 TPI. It would probably work OK in a 350 TPI though.

I think this one would be better instead:

COMPETITION CAMS CAMSHAFT SPECIFICATION SHEET

PART # 08-300-8
GRIND NUMBER: CS 262H-R12
ENGINE: CHEVY SM BLK 305-350
INTAKE EXHAUST
VALVE ADJUSTMENT HYD HYD
GROSS VALVE LIFT .450 .480
.006 TAPPET LIFT 262 264
VALVE TIMING OPEN CLOSE
AT .050 INT 5-BTDC 31 ABDC
EXH 41 BBDC 11-ATDC
THESE SPECS ARE FOR CAM INSTALLED
AT 108 INTAKE CENTER LINE
INTAKE EXHAUST
DURATION AT .050 206 210
LOBE LIFT .3000 .3200
LOBE SEPARATION 112
THIS CAM SHOULD USE SPRING # 981-16

I'm no expert, but I believe you'll have trouble getting the other to behave with the stock chip especially.

Consider adding 1.6 rockers to this one if you want a little more top end flow without any noticeable bottom end penalty. With the gear you have you don't want to give up too much bottom.
