connecting rod ID

i got an engine block (block ID 880) and i have no clue what type of rods they are and whether or not i should keep them. i cant see a casting number anywhere on them, unless they are on the end caps, which are somewhere.....

but all 8 do have this weird orange mark on them:

(sorry bout the quality, it was taken with the camera phone....like my gi joe? )

if you didn't match the caps to the rods you might have a bigger problem that what they are. my guess is the orange mark is to the front of the engine. take them to a shop to be checked and/or resized. what are you planning to do with them would help in knowing if you should keep them or not.
