Sorry, no can do. You need an OBD-II compliant scantool. No more paper clips. Just make sure the gas cap is tight.

If you don't care what the codes are and just want the light off, remove BOTH battery cables and hold them together for 30 seconds. This will discharge all of the capacitors in the ECM. MAKE SURE there is no other battery source hooked up!

Thanks GMTech....I took it to the dealorship and they replaced the MAP sensor...they said when the ECM opened the EGR valve the it was looking for a drop in manifold vacuum but the MAP sensor didn't show that the EGR had opened so it set the code.

Why would you try to diagnose a problem like this yourself? It is a 2000 model right? Then it is covered under Ford's warranty. Free repair!
