Snow=No GO
Snow=No GO
Dont know which forum this go's in but just wanted to let you know, dont take the chance in snow
I just bought a 89 Rs from Ohio and had it shipped to Vegas. The car has 38,000 original miles , in Fact it has the original tires and has never had a flat. It is black and looks brand new Inside an out. On my way home to utah I hit a bad snow storm. The back end started to feel light and squirly as I continued up the freeway. Suddenly the back end wipped around without warning. I was sliding down the freeway and starting to go off the right side. Slowly, without brakes I steered into the skid. The car whipped back around and I fishtaild the other direction. Finnaly after the 3rd fishtail I caught it in the other lane. talk about scarry I could have ruined a perfect camaro.
To let you know the rest of the story, I parked the car at a rest stop. I knew I could not leave the car there , someone could slid into it or it could be vandalized. Lucky Dad was following me in another vehicle. we went to the next town and bought chains and 8 bags of salt for weight. After installing the chains and adding the weight I was able to creep down the side of the freeway into a nearby town. I Still dont have the car home but at least it is unharmed,
Dont chance it
