changing the ole valve covers
i am going to change my valve covers on my 85 tpi 305 and i just wanted to know if i HAD to change the gaskets and if i took off the valve covers would i have to mess with the cam shaft or the valves them self or any of that stuff
ok yes replace gaskets at all costs. second no ,.. no valvetrain work reqiured(unless you are feeling frogy!):-)

1989 firebird formula
Mods: converted from T.B.I. to a carburator 305 to a 350. Flowmater exhaust,hedman shortie hedders,202 heads,350 horse cam,bored.40 over, Edlebrock torker2 intake.
Future mods performer rpm air gap intake (polished) and 600 edlebrock carb, comp roller cam, and way better headsa 400 defintely in the works!

Also, use Cork gaskets, they soak up oil, and u can use this as an excuse to put on chrome valve covers.
