Few Timing ???

Well my car has been running very rich lately. Not enough for black exhaust but it runs rich and has a miss at idle. I have had the car for 6 months (trans oil change and oil changes regularly). So im planning a tune-up for saturday. I advanced the timingto about 12 degrees and was wondering if u guys think i should jsut set it back. Is it worth the advance? I always put in premium gas and like hp whereever possible. Any suggestions on what might be a good advance. Im doing a dist. advance since i dont have prom burning.

12 deg is where I run for my truck.
I believe you car should be 6 deg +\- 2 deg
I always give a extra 2 for are alltitube in CO.
no ping, no slow crank, probably leave it alone.
