remove valves

I've been disassemblying some old heads that I bought, and I can't seem to get the valves out

the valves get stuck on the valve guides, and I can't pull them out. anyone have any tips/tricks on how to remove these things? Thanks.

Ryan

yes ...valves sometimes get "mushroomed" on the tips. Feel closely and you should be able to feel a little lip on the tip of the valve or around the keeper grooves ...Just lightly file (or debur) them down ...Do NOT force the valves out of you'll destroy the valve guides.

yep there's a burr at the valve tip. spin the valve and file it just a little.
