iroc VS rs hood clearance

I did a search but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know if the stock IROC hood has any more clearance than the stock RS hood for 91-92 f-bodies? I don't want to go to a cowl if I don't have to and I just need a little more clearance than stock.
If this is on the worng board let me know where to post it.
Thanks ................bob

i don't think they do, if anything the mounting points for the louvers would sit lower than just the flat sheet metal on our hoods.

What kind of extra clearance do you need? What are you going with that sits so high.

I didn't think there was any difference but the Iroc hoods looKs a little higher. Guess its the louvers. I need about 1/2 more to get a nitrous plate on. I would like to keep my current 1/2 spacer as well but its not necessary if I go to nitrous. However If I ever go to a carb manifold+adapter+nitrous I will probably need the extra space. As is I barely clear with just the 1/2 spacer. Plus, ehhhhh the Iroc hoods look great!!
Thanks for the help.................bob

they're identical.

if you take the hood insulation off, you'll see that the underbracing for the RS hood is the same as the IROC and power buldge hoods..... you can actually see the outline that the louvers would have fit into.

now on a RS hood, im sure you could cut it for clearance...... i remembered this thread as i was measuring somthing for my car, and stuck a ruler in the "louver" hole in the underside of my RS hood... there is almost exactly 1" between the bottom of my RS hood top and the bottom of the hood bracing....

i suppose you could try to cut it away from where you dont need it over the intake.
swapping hoods should have no effect on clearance.
