Heater Core-need easy way to fix
dammit my heater core when out and i got a new one but is there any easy what to replace it w/o ripping my car apart? any kind of way to clean interior from coolant leak?

Not too many shortcuts for that one. About the only possibility is to replace it. If you take off the dash pad and the duct on that side, you can get to alot of it much easier. It's no fun even like that, probably a 4 or 5 hour and $40 of parts kind of job for a first-timer.

New heater core - $24.95;
Time to replace (if you take the easy way) - two hours;
Satisfaction from a job well done - priceless.
BTW - You can clean the antifreeze from the carpet with hot soapy water, followed by a wet/dry vacuum to pick up the water, then a hot water rinse, and another vacuum. Use very mild soap and very hot water. You might have to rinse/vacuum several times to get it all, but it will eventually clean out. This will probably take longer than the core replacement. Use your new heater core to dry out the carpet when finished.

well if you find a easyier way email me and let me in on your little secret! trust me i thought i found a easy way but it wasn't just face the problem and dig in and do it! if you work hard!?? you can do it say 3 or 4 hours!

1989 firebird formula
Mods: converted from T.B.I. to a carburator 305 to a 350. Flowmater exhaust,hedman shortie hedders,202 heads,350 horse cam,bored.40 over, Edlebrock torker2 intake.
Future mods performer rpm air gap intake (polished) and 600 edlebrock carb, comp roller cam, and way better headsa 400 defintely in the works!
