MSD upgrades....good for my setup? Did search...

Just curious what MSD products would be good to have as far as my mods (in my sig) and my future mods go....which include heads, headers and siamesed runners....maybe even prom burning down the road, but thats last. I did a search and came up with the following, but wasnt sure if i need anything else for the setup: MSD Distributor, MSD II Blaster Coil, MSD Module, MSD 6A and possible 300+ race wires....suggestions? Thanks.

Your stock distributor is more than enough. For any street car just a nice set of any aftermarket ignition stuff will work nice. Just focus on a coil, wires, cap, and rotor. I love my MSD stuff personally.

My stock distributor will need replacement anyway...while i'm doing my heads and headers, i might as well, so I figured i should go ahead and use some good quality stuff. I dont want to go w/Accel again...once, one of my wires burnt out(after 1,000 miles), and right after i did my cam, put everything back together, one of the brand new injectors didnt fire right off the bat....so MSD all the way...

Yea I have heard to mnay complaints and horror stories about accell stuff. You will really like your MSD stuff. Heck I have had wires touching my header primaries for days and they didn't even make a melting spot. If your distributor isn't broken I would not replace it. If you have money to burn than go for it I geuss but that extra 250 or so could be spent on better go fast parts. An aftermarket distributor won't give you any real advantage.

Yea, i've read and heard and experienced the trouble firsthand...and NO they dont reimburse for labor, b/c i went to some sort of VP and got his # and spent 20min of my time arguing with him and still nothing. So w/e. MSD it will be.....the story about my distributor....well, I need to replace it, b/c it has no seal where the wires come out....i tried gunking it up with silicone but thats messy and looks like s**t. So what better excuse to get a good distributor than that? lol I just want a good ignition system that compares to the Accel one that i have now (supercoil wise) but with MSD stuff. But i dont see what else i would spend the $$$ on....aside from headers, heads, and siamesed runners that are already in the works....so why not...
