what extras should i get with afr 190s
i am going to buy afr 190 heads for my car.what extra should i get to get more hp and reliability. i am already thinking about 1.6 rockers. will the 1.6 rockers fit under my factory valve covers with my slp cam? i want to stay under $1600. and do you think $750 is fair to install these heads?

1.6's probably won't fit if they are full roller.
And the AFR 190's are awesome...but did you say $750 for install? If so....heck, do it yourself and save alot of cash...

Chris,
At $50 an hour that is 15 hours' labor, and that sounds about right. But, lookeyhere:
Search the profiles and archives for other Cinci members - there must be several there since we have 6 or 7 here in Louisville. I'll bet you've got 10 in Cinci - and a few of them will help you do the job.
This way you learn a bunch and save $750 for the slicks you'll need with the AFR's.
Really, search your area for guys that will guide you thru this: it is the heart and soul of hotrodding. Sharing time, tools, and helping each other at the track is a time-honored tradition. Try it, you'll like it.
Good luck.
