what type of 350

when i get my tax returns im finally gonna get started on my new 350 for my camaro.

problem is.. i live in california, and all parts i buy will have to be 50 state legal.

most performance parts i see say they are 50 state legal.. on 87 and older engines.. why is that? wat makes 87 and older 350's different from 88 and up 350's?

which type of 350 would you recommend for my camaro? 4 bolt mains? single rear main seal?
