vaccum lines with a carb

vaccum lines with a carb

Alright guys, gotta question about the vaccum lines. Just replaced my TBI 305 with a carbed 383. Now my problem is the vaccum lines that run into the firewall to the heater and contol the position the air flows. How do I hook these up?

Any source of full manifold vacuum should work fine. You can terminate the hard nylon line by gluing a short piece of rubber vacuum hose onto the end (the way the factory did it), then connecting the rubber to whatever fitting you provide.

If you have disconnected all the lines for the HVAC damper controls, you need to reconnect them something like this:
