does blocking off the egr cause the ecm to throw a trouble code constantly or would leaving the egr sol intact keep this from happening?

Thanks,

You will get all kind of codes and the car will run like poo. You need to delete it from your PROM if you are getting rid of it. Most people just get rid of it to clean up their engine bay. It doesn't have any power making potential upon removal. Your gas mileage may just go down a bit but thats it.

You do not get all kinds of codes, you will probably get the egr code but thats it and your car will not run like poo. I and some of my friends have the egr blocked and dissconnected and do not have the prom burnt.
