Polymer dist gear?

Polymer dist gear?

I seen that polymer comp cams distributor gear. Anybody use one before, I dunno about using a plastic gear. I know plastic has come a long way but i dunno.

Some of todays plastics are stronger than metal. So durability shouldnt be a problem. I ve never heard of the polymer gear but there must be a certain aplication for it.
