rip it out and sell it along with the TPI unit
You might have to pop off your pass side fender to get the harness out though

And don't 'rip' anything out. Unplug all the connectors and store the harness for possible future re-use.

on the earlier cars this is correct....for later cars (sd) the above post is correct...
i kept my harness in the car...i ran a 12v power to a switch adn then to the gray wire under the back seat..
so when i keyed up the FP will prime like normal, but when i flip the switch the FP will come on....i dont like the idea of the fuel pump runnin whever the key is on....

Ya i was thinking about getting the fuel pressure regulator from summit. Does it really matter if i use a normal in and out regulator or a 3 port?
Also where does the pink wire for the fuel pump begin?
Thank you

I just ran a wire into the green/white striped wire on my fuel pump relay. I tried the wires under the seat...that didn't work at all. So I spliced it at the relay. Works fine now.
You need a good 3 port regulator. I used a mallory 3 port. It works great. Its like 90$ thought.
Oh and since you have TPI you may need a shorter accelerator cable and TV cable. I could be wrong. I went from TBI-carb so the cables worked. I know the cables on the TBI unit sit furthur forward. And its 1:30am and I've been up since 6am....school and work all day...so I could very well be wrong, im ranting and I'm pretty sure my spelling is bad lol.

Yeah you need the 3 port..I also used the Malory..
there are 2 hardlines (fuel) coming from your tank to the engine bay..mine came up the drivers side . One is the feed.. one is return.... you need the third port for the extra fuel to return to the tank...constant circulation also helps to cool the fuel.....also you will need to plumb in a pressure gauge..I used an inline type......placed between the regulator and the carb...cheap..I ran around 5-7 lbs.
I spliced in behind the back seat myself ( Fuel pump)...then I wired in a switch....
there is another discussion going on in the Motor swap board on this topic.

I think I am going to splice the wire in back there. Then get rid of the fuel pump relay completely. I don't need it so whats the point of having it. I will be getting a holley blue fuel pump soon so I don't even need the return line anymore.

i heard bad about the holley blue pumps, and trust me I love holley so much it isnt even funny...
Just watch out...
Summit sells Holley fuel pressure regulators for like 8 bucks each, go get a fuel PSI gauge, and two of the regulators... one for the feed and the other for the return, your set.
thats what I did n used my TPI pump, works great and looks cool under the hood.. everytone that dont know much about cars always ask "what are those" and u can tell them all kinds of things =]
i bolted them on the drivers side inner fender, looks awesome

Maybe I'll just get a good intank fuel pump. I'd rather not but I need something reliable. I wish my block had a place for a mechanical pump....would make things so much easier.
I don't really want and intank pump because as you all know they are a PITA to get to.

My block is one of those caprice motors. I believe its for like a 1993 caprice. Well it has no place for it. It has the mounting holes BUT there is no hole for the rod to go through to the camshaft. Solid hole. My block doesn't even need a blockoff plate...because there isn't a hole there.
