check engin light code 24 and 34

I have put a rebuilt 383 in my car about a month ago. Now the check engin light turns on about five minites after the car is started. i did the diagnostic and it gave me the codes 24 and 34. i know that these are telling me there is something wrong with the vehicle speed sensor circuit and vacuum sensor circuit, but could this be from the new engin of something else. im going to disconnect my battery and see if they will show up again.

What fuel system are you using on the engine? What did the car have in it before?
