how do i adjust my roller rockers

how do i adjust my roller rockers

ive adjusted them 3 times and they still seem to be "clicking" at least one is what is the easiest procedure what happens if i get them to tight? or not adjusted right? i have a 87 355 tpi i get them adjusted all seems to be good then a day later i can here one clicking i have poly locks so i dont think they are backing off give me the proper procedure please thanks in advance

They adjust the same as any others.

Check very carefully for interference between a pushrod and something else; check especially closely at the inside of the guide plate slots. You may find that one or more pushrods are getting forced up out of their seats in the rockers.

If they seem to be backing off, when you adjust them, turn the nut and the lock screw together to tighten everything fully. You may not be getting the lock screw tight enough by itself with its allen wrench.

How much preload are you using.

I always follow the camshaft maker;s recommended preload. The ramps of some cams, especially rollers, are ao aggressive they won't tolerate 1/4 or sometimes even 1/2 turn preload without clicking.

I'll email you the step by step procedure I use to preload my lifters.
