Engine Mountings
How the hell do you get these off the crossmember?Ive got the engine out but i cant get to the nuts up inside the crossmember.It would be simple if i took out the lower wishbones but i dont want to go to that amount of work.any suggestions?

A combination wrench to hold the nuts still, and a second person. Doesn't much matter what you do though, it's still one of the least fun things to have to do to one of these cars, especially with the engine and suspension installed.
Some "technician attitude adjustment compound" often helps.

Ive have had a thought though.I can probably reach with a welding rod and tack the back of the nuts.

if those bolts are rusted enough and you try to tack the weld most likely wont hold. plus they are at a weird angle to get a stick rod up there i would think. two are somewhat "easier" to get than the last one. they were a pain for me and i had the suspension off when i did it. a few four letter words and they came off.

Right,well i got them off thanks to a disc cutter.
However check out these pics as the one my GM dealer has supplied are nothing like what came off.What do you think??

That part is the motor side of the system, for cars from about 72 back. Those earlier cars used a plain metal bracket that mounted on the stand, and that piece that you have on the motor. Kind of backwards from what these cars have.
Take it back and get the right one, is about all you can do.
