Two days ago my car starting having "violent" starts, ie engine shakes. No noise from the starter such as grinding, etc.
Seems to be worse when starting in the morning after sitting all night.
My car is a 1991 Camaro RS 305 TBI with 73K miles and the original starter.

Any ideas where I should start diagnosing the problem?

If the problem is the starter, any recommendations on a aftermarket starter or should I just stick with a stock GM starter?
