anyone using Comp Cams 1.52 Roller Tip rockers?
im using them on my car and i thought there were a little loose (making some noise). so me and my dad adjusted them w/ the car running this time and the valve cover off and it helped a little bit. it seems they ALL make a little noise w/ them being tightened and all.
i was just wondering if anyone else is using these rockers and is this normal for them or what? ive heard of noisey rockers before, but never actually heard them in real life, guess this is some of them?
thanx

Not now, but I've use quite a few of that product on various motors over the years. I even had some of the prototypes while they were developing them.
It is not normal for them to be noisy. They basically never are. In fact they are usually quiter than stock rockers; they fix the noise that those POSs make sliding over the valve stem tip. If you're getting noise, it's probably coming from somewhere else.
Don't assume that any noise you hear is automatically coming from the rockers. You'd be surprised how much noise valve springs themselves can make; valves that are loose in the guides; bent (or flexing) push rods; etc. etc. The sources of noise are just endless.
You might want to try the "stethoscope" trick, where you take a piece of heater hose and stick it in your ear (I just love telling people to do that!!!) and probing around with the other end of it and see if you can pinpoint the source. You can't always, but it's worth a try.

no offense man,but in my original post i said that i had the valve cover off while hearing the noise even after adjusting them lol.
it was the driver side i had off and i let it just sit there and run and i moved my head back and forth over ALL the rockers and all were making about the same amount of noise...i even hear it through the valve cover on the pass. side.
now im not saying that it has to be the rockers,im was just wondering if it was normal for these or not. i bought these Vortec heads assembled so im not sure what kind of springs they are,but they are upgraded for the higher lift cam.
thanks for the reply
