Who makes a better crankshaft?

I am trying to decide between a Eagle or Scat stroker crankshaft and was wondering if anyone has any experience or knows anything about either one?

Scat is excellent
I would trust it up to 8000+ rpm and 700+hp

------------------
White 1986 Irocz, 305/383 with Edlebrock Performer-RPM intake and Performer #1407 carburetor, +110hp shot of crack, 700R-4 tranny, 3.25:1 rear, Mcreary Road-Stars, single 3" Borla exhaust, Linginfelter-TPI camshaft pulls 17" vacuum solid. N/A runs 10.9 @124, Crack-runs 10.3 @135... haven't run at track since Oct-99

OOps let me backtrack a minute. I didn't mean to say that the Scat was 'better'.
What I mean is that it's excellent 'for the money'. Probably the best buy as far as quality cranks go.

I'll throw in my recent experience to the topic. My son recently spun one of the center bearings on his 4-bolt block. When we had the crank magged,we were informed that it was toast(crank was an original 400ci.GM crank w/turned down mains, motor is a 388ci)I asked my machinist to talk to me about cost and quality, and this is what he told me. Between Eagle and Scat (which he said by the way are both quality inexpensive cast cranks)that Scat cranks are made in China and that they take longer to balance out than an Eagle. To me that sounds like a little higher quality casting. I work for a national parts company so I can get either one for well under $300, so price was'nt my concern. I ordered the Eagle yesterday.
Just my 2 cents.

I found this rotating assembly kit for $899 Does this sound like a good price for the components listed? Also the C/R with 64cc heads which are what I plan on running is 10.9 is there anything I can do to lower that while keeping 64cc heads?

New EAGLE 5140 steel "SIR" lightweight connecting rods
New EAGLE std./std. cast steel crankshaft
Keith Black hypereutectic pistons, piston pins
Std. rings are premium plasma moly standard bore cast iron ring sets.
Federal-Mogal or Clevite 77 rod and main bearings
New harmonic balancer (383 only)
New flexplate (383 only)

Take a look at www.speedomotive.com
Click on there stroker kits and then look at the Mighty Mouse page. You can add the balancer and the flex-plate and still be under $700. I've used this before with good results.
