Detonation sensor on non CC Car?

Detonation sensor on non CC Car?
Could I wire a detonation sensor from a CC car to a relay and have it operate a warning light mounted inside the car?

thats a Good idea, Ill have to look into that.
It all depends on how the kock sensor reports "knock"
I have never really taken a close look at one.

Thanks Bort, if you happen to come across the signal specs of the sensor, or where to find them, please post!
I have some 9 volt LEDs leftover from some case modding. Maybe I'll wire one up and tap the engine with a hammer to see what happens.
