I recently bought a Trans am and everything on it has been pretty good until now. I can hear a tapping sound coming from the motor. Not too loud but you can tell... this sound will get faster when the gas is pushed. It's also louder on the driverside of the car than on the passenger. I already tried putting thicker oil in and it didnt help. Does anyone have any help they can give me?

 

either, exhaust leak, or the valves need adjusted.

I second exhaust leak (at the head flange). It could be valvtrain tick as well. Might want to check those.
