What kind of heads are these??

I've got a set of heads in my garage that a friend left several years ago still in the box brand new.
They're for a Chevy 350 and are 64cc - angle plug.
On the box, it has P/N 1112B Sportsman 200 64cc cast iron.
The numbers stamped on the heads under the valve covers is:
9
L13
M
just like that, then on the front part still under the valve cover is:
I-037
*
Thay were originally purchased from "Auto Parts Co." in Marshall, MI.
*
Any idea if they are good performance heads, better than L98's or just stock? Seems like he said they were some sort of performance heads is why he was keeping them, but he's long gone and moved away several years ago and left them.
Thanks

Would they work for an L98 build up with TPI? Better than the Vette L98's?

They don't have the EGR passage, its block off a few inches down in the head, the EGR port is a "dead end".

They are probably Dart II Sportsman heads, because I have bought a couple of sets World Products Sportsman II's, and they have a different. They are almost exactly the same head as the Sportsman II, but the combustion chamber is a little better in the Sportsman and they flow slightly better.

Either of them are better than a L98 head. They have 2.02int 1.60exh, flow much better than L98's and they are a thicker head which will be forgiving to overheating and have a lot of porting potential. My brother has a full size, 3800# 78 GMCpickup with a 350, 10:1 CR, GM 1st design off-road cam (67-69 DZ 302 SCCA cam) Bowtie intake, 750 Holley, 3000 convertor, 4.11 gears, regularly driven Street-machine w/ a set of Sportsman II's and it turned a 7.78 at an 1/8 mile a week ago. That is a low 12 run in the quarter, in a heavy a$$ truck, so yeah, those are good heads.

BTW, the heat crossover can be drilled for use with EGR.

Look under where the casting numbers should be(under valve cover) and look for a big W by itself. If so, they are Sportsman's.

By the way Basset Racing, those are some REALLY impressive times for your brothers truck.Nice web site!

Polecat, yes, they do have a big 'W', with a 9 and a L13 just above the big W.

Will these work with a '92 TPI setup?
Thank for all the info.

I see the center bolts are angled the same as the corners, but on the TPI intake the centers are more straight up and down.
Maybe with some drilling out onthe intake and studding the center holes it might work?
Anybody done this on their TPI intake?
That is if it can be done without interfearing with the runner base...
