lifter valley oil return plugs or "whistles"?

What would you recommend and why? I'm talking about something to block oil return holes except front and rear ones. There're two different styles of plugs: solid ones and breather-like; they all require cutting threads in the block. IMO it's better to have some vents between lower/upper crankcase and heads; what do you think?
And another question: where're the best places to glue in magnets in block with factory design roller setup? Hey, I'm not so stupid, I know where to put oil screens, lol...

don't think it'd make much differance, but if you want the vented kind buy a 1/4 NPT nipple about 1.5 long and you'll be all set for a lot less jack that the ones jegs sells
