wiring

My voltage is crazy.. and I was wondering.. could a poorly wired stereo amp cause jumpy voltage? i.e., say, for instance, the power cable coming off the battery was occasionally touching the ground?

I can't think of a time I've read a Volt meter during a short, so I can't answer your question. But I think you know you should fix that wire

Dont know how jumpy your voltage is, but thats probably what is doing it. Fix the wire and put a fuse in there before your burn your car down. Dont laugh, Ive seen it happen...
