Top speed?

My 85 berlinetta came with the digital dash. It has the ability to read 399 mph. I think that the digits in the 100 place are for when the speedo is set on kph. Anyway when the car hits 85 the speedo just blinks 85. The rpms keep going up but it won't read past 85. Any ideas on what the top speed is? It has a lg4 with the 700r4 and 3.08 out back. Thanks

Around 120. Its less than 122, I know that much from... shall we say experience. Reason I say less is the Firebird with its lights closed is more aerodynamic than the Camaro and goes a little faster.

You are right about the digital speedo, on kph it will read up to 137 IIRC, and then flashes in your face. Had the same setup on a caddy, dont know how to make it so it doesnt flash and reads the actual speed.

Somebody on this board modified the electronic dash so that after 85, it would automatically switch to kph and convert the kph to mph so that it would show past 85 mph correctly(86,86,88,ect...).
