I'm looking for a project car and I don't want to spend over 2 grand. Only thing I really must have is a stick shift and T top. Everything else I figure I'll change and upgrade anyway. What would be needed if I purchased a V6 5 spd and made it a 350TBI?? How much would that swap run if I did the work myself?? Also, does anyone have pics of 89 and up cameros and firebirds?? Start off with a car that already has the engine/transmission type you want. You can modify from there.

Problem with starting with a V6 car is you'll need a donor V8 car to get all of the parts you'll need to put a V8 in it, even if you don't use the engine from the V8 car.
