and heres a cam i had in mind from jegs, the specs are

Serious performance for modified 305 5-spd. & 350 w/3.73-up.
Adv. Duration: 272º/284º
Gross Lift: .454''/.480''
Series: 2050

and since i soon will have my 3.73's installed, will this be a nice edition?

remember, im in cali and everything i buy has to be 50 state legal, so dont be recomending i get something that wont be emmisions legal (unless it is undetectable and wont effect emmisions)

This is a bit to big for the stock heads. I would try to stay in the 230-240 duration area and under .480" lift.

Yes. The SR's can take about .525" lift out of the box and have larger valves to take advantage of that larger duration.

Not to mention, they probably have a better flow rate. (assuming your heads are unmodified)

Yea they are a pretty good head. The really shine with some porting because they were really designed as a stock replacement head.
