Charging Problem and Transmission not kicking down after engine install

Hey Gang,
I just got done installing my 305 tbi.I took it out and rebuilt it myself. Its running awesome except for the fact that its not charging.I had the alternator checked out and it checked out good charging 14.6.It was charging fine before i pulled out the engine, now the battery is at 11.6 or 12 volts when the car is running.

Also, when i took my camaro around the block for a test drive,to test out the new mods,i gave it wide open throttle and it didnt kick down..I know i hooked up the kickdown, but i guess its not functioning right. Can anyone help me out with either of my problems?

You may need to adjust your TV cable. There is a tech article on the home page here. Check it out.
