i'm thinking it's gotta be boosted man. unless they're referring to an 11sec 1/8mile but na, man. i haven't seen/read it. but, in any case, i bet a STRONG bottom end and a LOT of boost could get you there. who knows--maybe someone on the forums is buying/gonna buy it. but $20 for information is nice. i've already got a few books, so I doubt there will be any new material.

Im guessing most of whats in that book can be readily be found somewhere on this site, and if you have specific concerns, the book may not address them anyway. Also, it doesnt take a bunch of boost to get a thirdgen in the 11s, there are plenty of members on here who have done it N/A.

Yeah, you can get into the 11's naturally aspirated w/ the right heads/cam/intake combo, no power adders needed.

Haven't seen Willie's in a LONG time. Mine might run 11's here N/A in street trim after I get it tuned on March 27th. If it doesn't, it'll be VERY close. It's an EASY daily driver. I just drove around today for 2 hrs w/ a friend and we were racing each other and cruising... not a problem at all, idle is tame at 800 or so rpm, stays around 160*, etc. There are many HSR and LT1 combos that runs 11's in daily driver's too. And bolt-on only LS1's can run 11's.

Are you referring to your 355 in your sig? You should run a torque converter lockup switch if you're not already. That'll shave off a little bit of time. I wonder how a cc qjet combo might work. Man, I wish I had money so I can get all this stuff I want

Yes sir, the 355 in my sig. Mild cam, mild stall, mild gears, daily drivable, and I hope to run high 11's after the dyno tune. It's full weight, 280 lbs driver, and runs at the track just as it does on the street. Haven't tried the tc lockup switch yet, might be worth a try.

11s isn't that hard to do. if you are making 450-500 HP in a car that weighs 3300 lbs or so you should be running 11s. 450-500 HP isn't hard to attain at all with a 350 and is very streetable.

I think it's time for me to bite the bullet and get a 350. You know, with your set up and my altitude of 519 feet, you might get deep into the 11s.

I borrowed the book from a friend of mine who bought it a few years ago. Basically it tells you to get a 400 small block, build it with a certain cam & heads (can't remember the exact details anymore) long tube headers with cutouts at the collector, slicks, high stall converter, etc. Stuff most of us already know. BTW, no spray or forced induction is used.

I borrowed the book from a friend a few years ago just for the hell of it. Unless you plan on running a 406 there is not that much info for the engine. There is however a ton of good info on suspension, fuel system, tires, gears, trans and all of the other little things involved with making a 11 sec f body. The book is based on a large cubic inch budget setup with inexpensive mods just for the strip (i.e. 6 cyl springs, removing sway bars, losing weight......) Hope that is enough info

Is it worth $20 for 27 pages? At that price I'd almost expect it to change my oil!If it was 200+ pgs I'd have no problem paying it,but 27?C'mon...thats steep!

I saw this "booklet" a long time ago...

like mentioned, "most" of the info is on suspension tricks.

Pretty sure they bagged it, and used skinny's up front, dropped the front swaybar too...
