Just wondering what my horsepower is right now?
I have a 1989 rs with a v8 305 L03. I have 192000 miles, i dont know if that matters, like if your horsepower depreciates with your mileage. but its just stock, but i just want to know what kind of horsepower i have right now. Also i heard someone say something about a speed limiter, or something? what is it? and one last thing. how come when i hold the brake and gas it, it wont go past like 2500 rpm's, my friends honda just keeps going. thnx for your help ( in advance )

a sad 175.
speed limiter is set to 115.
you cant go faster than 115 no matter how hard you try. engine will not rev anymore cuz of the computer.
its a honda.
why are you gassing int with the brake on?
hondas are high revvers.
your holding the brake to hard.
i can hold the brake medium and gas it in 1 or D and let the tires loose.
P.S. thats not good for the brakes.

Damn... only 175? And it seems like I get something around 15mpg the way I go through gas.. thats pretty messed up considering the new 4th gen ss's Have what? 325hp? and they get something like 27mpg
Oh well hehe
Oh well hehe
It really depends on what condition the engine is. I mean, your 192K car may run better than some 29K cars if your's has been kept in good condition over its lifetime. I'd say 175 is being generous, I'd say around 160, 165 or so because of its age.

I had my 89 L03 dynoed with a chip, open air, cat-back. It had about 139,000 miles on it, it was reading over 100 degrees in the garage on a hot humid summer day, and the rear wheel horsepower peaked at 158 hp. If you account for 10% drivetrain loss, this is 173.8 at the flywheel. Hope this helps,
Jason
