If it doesn't have ESC....

there's nothing else to unplug, right? my friend just got a pickup from the early 70's, and we think timing is a little off. i've never adjusted timing except on my camaro, and i know that you have to unplug the ESC on ours before adjusting timing...

No computer on early 70s, so nothing to unplug. Just adjust it. If it's points, set the dwell (or gap) first.

disconnect and plug the vac line to the vac. advance on the distributor
