What centerbolt valve covers clear comp promag rockers?

will a stock type valve cover clear comp promagnum RR's? or do I need a taller style or maybe moroso sheet metal ones.
keep in mind I would like to keep the stock pcv system.

I did look through summit but I was hoping someone here was using these rockers with centerbolt heads and could just say "I use them with stock vc's"

thanks

That's odd, I'm using the Pro Magnum 1.52 rr's on my set of stock L98 heads with some stock GM valve covers off a set of Vortec heads, which I assume are the same as the earlier centerbolt valve covers like what you are probably trying to use. I did have to cut out the supports inside the valve covers, though... only on one side if I remember correctly. Took a whizzer to it, 20 minutes later they fit and I've been running them for 5k miles with no probs.

Were you able to keep the baffles untouched?

yup, didn't touch the baffles. The supports looked kind of like a triangle, and I just cut one of the sides of all of the triangular supports.

If this was the triangular support inside the valve cover, cut out only the red part on each support to make them fit. Oh yea, make sure you cut out the correct side.... on one of mine, I cut out the wrong side and had to go back and cut out the other too. But I still don't have any problems with them leaking, so don't worry too much about that.

You can take and bend the baffles and make them work. Right at the bottom of the baffle where the rocker would hit, bent he stamped part straight down and they should clear w/o hitting. I have seen that done on about half dozen sets of VCs w/ promags w/ no problems.
